The current debate over carbon emissions and their impact on global warming and the ozone layer are some of the problems in business that environmental groups and the governments are trying to address, and in particular the European Union is aiming to do this with the EU Taxonomy and their goal for businesses to be ‘EU Taxonomy aligned’. Sustainability is a word which is finding its way in discussions concerning the future for businesses of all sizes and operating in a global setting, and with the Taxonomy reaching this is when a business can be considered ‘sustainable’ and EU Taxonomy aligned. While some people say that sustainability must be the main focus and goal, others are trying to stay away from the subject. How should you weed out the good from the bad, so that you don’t find yourself in a huge problem like global warming?
There is a big problem and question that we must all face to know what to do, and that is “How do we become sustainable and be EU Taxonomy aligned?”
It is an interesting question, because we can’t eliminate global warming instantly. Even if we cut down on power plants, we’ll still have global warming, because the warming process has not been eliminated. The coal and oil power plant is the only one that is contributing to global warming. The people in impacts, or global warming is a huge problem. It’s impossible to stop ecological and environmental damages like global warming if the issue is ignored or pushed aside! The more busy and well-cut out businesses, the better they are by riding the coattails of our businesses, right? Well, it’s not really so, is it? The business leaders that we are leading our businesses to are many of the most powerful and well-run of the major business leaders around. Are they also well-networked or well-networked millionaires and leaders?
A sustainable business is one that is sustainable from an organisational perspective and that is seen as being EU Taxonomy aligned. The term sustainable is also generally used to describe any organisation that is able to continue in existence long-term. For now, we’re going to stick with the notion of sustainability from an organisational standpoint. Situations like a financial recession, environmental problems and other problems can cause potential holes in the stability of a business’ sustainability, and if not mitigated can become a major issue and lead to the business’ downfall. Therefore, it’s critical to maintain a high-level of work participation among employees, if there is a balance between profit and social responsibility, then our nations and our world will be better for it. Yet, it’s difficult to sustain a sustainable organisation. This is why business sustainability must be handled extremely carefully to keep EU Taxonomy aligned. It’s no use sustaining a business that wasn’t good enough to earn the profits it does.
Business sustainability will also be significant on a community’s level. Also, every community and every city and local government can recognize the act, they can then generate money and habits from other parochial schools, universities, offices, churches, civic and social groups, state and city offices, community businesses, etc. Just to remind everyone, “anything that participates in the sustainability of mother earth is important.”
Business sustainability is too important to be treated as just another “sustainability program,” In other words, it’s not a fluff-talk, it’s not a nice-to-have program, it’s not even a corrosion prevention program, business sustainability must be a pillar of governmental and business policy and businesses need to become EU Taxonomy aligned. Business sustainability should be a function of every business for every nation, state, city, or county. In essence, the sustainability of a company or organisation is contingent upon its level of social consciousness, health consciousness, any other socially relevant concerns, and political sensitivity. It’s simply a case of the responsibilities of a company, government or corporation. If every public entity can understand and change to become sustainable and EU Taxonomy aligned, then the goal of a sustainable future can be achieved.
In conclusion, the definition of sustainability is for businesses to reduce carbon emissions, mitigate climate change and be EU Taxonomy aligned. Sustainable management is about “natural resource conservation; it involves the use of current technology, practices, methods and regulations to manage cyclical or stable natural resources for human necessities, without damaging the people or the future.” And, then, “Not lessening or adversely affecting the quality of life as a result of resource use.” In other words, business sustainability must be strengthened, if we are capable of doing so much then we can make changes to our methods and practices to stay environmentally friendly. It’s the first step to world peace and a better future.
